1968

Here is a real rarity for JD fans. This is the first recording by Jim when he was with The Good Earth. JD refers to this song as the funniest recording ever made. It's not quite on par with William Shatner singing "Mr Tambourine Man" for laughs but it certainly is a "period piece". Remember this was the late sixties . . . . think Spanky and Our Gang meets Al Martino. It is a very strange recording presented here for historical interest . . . . and your enjoyment?

A Funny Thing Happened

Here is another JD rarity. This is the very first recording of "Must I Really" by Jim with The Good Earth. The sound quality could be a little better but it was the best we could do from our only copy of this old 45. Bob Crewe's late 60s production adds a unique sound to this recording. Guaranteed that this is like nothing you have ever heard before from a Jim Dawson recording (unless, of course, you just listened to "A Funny Thing Happened").
